  • Ryan Jeffers C | MIN

Twins' Ryan Jeffers: Getting breather Saturday

Jeffers is not in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Astros.

Jeffers will begin the matchup on the bench after making consecutive starts behind the plate Thursday and Friday. Christian Vazquez is starting at catcher and batting ninth.

  • Keibert Ruiz C | WAS

Nationals' Keibert Ruiz: Getting rest Saturday

Ruiz isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against Miami, Spencer Nusbaum of The Washington Post reports.

Ruiz will get a chance to catch his breath after going 3-for-5 with an RBI in Friday's series opener. Riley Adams will get the nod at catcher and bat ninth.

  • Reds' Tyler Stephenson: Productive in loss

Stephenson went 3-for-5 with a double and two RBI in Friday's 11-5 loss to Detroit.

Stephenson laced a two-run double in the ninth inning when the Reds were out of it. His batting average sat at an ugly .177 as of May 24, but Stephenson has been rolling since. He's gone 19-for-55 (.345) with two doubles, four home runs, 12 RBI and seven runs scored over the last 14 games, raising his average to .256.

  • Cardinals' Leonardo Bernal: Thriving at Double-A

Bernal homered for the second straight game and reached base in all four plate appearances Friday at Double-A Springfield.

Bernal is putting together a breakout season at Springfield. After collecting just a .683 OPS with one home run in April, the switch-hitting catcher is slashing .351/.407/.676 with 10 home runs and 34 RBI over 29 games since the start of May. The 21-year-old also boasts an 11.8 percent walk rate and 15.5 percent strikeout rate in his first full season at the Double-A level. Between Ivan Herrera in the majors, Jimmy Crooks at Triple-A Memphis, Bernal at Springfield and Rainiel Rodriguez at Single-A Palm Beach, the Cardinals boast an enviable collection of young catching talent.

  • Danny Jansen C | TEX

Rays' Danny Jansen: Smacks sixth homer

Jansen went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run Friday against the Mets.

Jansen has settled into starting just over half of the Rays' games behind the plate, splitting time with Matt Thaiss. He's picked things up at the plate over the last month, smacking five home runs with 10 RBI and 11 runs scored while hitting .250 in 18 games since May 13. Jansen's two-run shot was his sixth home run of the season and delivered the decisive runs in the Rays' win Friday.

  • Austin Wynns C | ATH

Athletics' Austin Wynns: Swats first homer with new club

Wynns went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 6-4 win over the Royals.

The veteran catcher turned on a Michael Wacha two-seamer in the second inning, giving Wynns his fourth long ball of the season and his first as a member of the A's. He came into 2025 with a career OPS of .642 and a career high of just four homers, but the 34-year-old now sports a stunning .354/.404/.667 slash line in 52 plate appearances this season between the Reds and A's. Wynns has been alternating starts with Willie MacIver over the last four games, an arrangement that could continue while Shea Langeliers (oblique) remains sidelined.

  • Giants' Andrew Knizner: Blasts solo homer Friday

Knizner went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 6-2 win over the Dodgers.

Knizner went yard in the eighth inning to restore a four-run lead for the Giants, and the homer was his first hit in five games. He's now 1-for-15 (.067) with a walk and two runs scored over five contests. Knizner is operating as the starting catcher while Patrick Bailey (neck) is out, but his relatively unimpressive career numbers make Knizner an unattractive option for most fantasy formats.

  • Brewers' William Contreras: Rare multi-RBI game in win

Contreras went 1-for-3 with a double and two RBI in Friday's 3-2 victory over St. Louis.

The 27-year-old backstop has had a tough time at the dish throughout the campaign -- he's batting .175 with just two extra-base hits and four RBI in 40 at-bats during June and has a .686 OPS for the season. Contreras tallied his first multi-RBI game since May 19, and he does have a 14.3 percent walk rate across 280 plate appearances in 2025. As long as he routinely occupies a premium spot in the Brewers' lineup, the catcher should have plenty of RBI chances moving forward.

  • Blue Jays' Alejandro Kirk: Another multi-hit game

Kirk went 2-for-4 with two singles during Friday's 8-0 loss to Philadelphia.

The Blue Jays were limited to five hits in Friday's blowout, but Kirk managed to reach base twice on singles in the first and fourth frames. The 26-year-old catcher has four straight multi-hit games and has reached base safely in 12 consecutive contests. Over that span, Kirk has a 1.173 OPS with eight runs scored, four doubles, two home runs and 12 RBI across 54 plate appearances.

  • Phillies' J.T. Realmuto: Crosses home three times

Realmuto went 2-for-3 with an RBI double and three runs scored during Friday's 8-0 win over Toronto.

Realmuto gave the Phillies a six-run lead in the eighth with an RBI double and crossed home plate three times, a season high. The veteran catcher has reached base safely in eight of his last nine games, and over that span he has gone 11-for-32 (.344) with six runs scored, two doubles and five RBI.
