Padres catcher Yasmani Grandal hit a three-run homer and provided plenty of support for his team in a 7-4 win over the Diamondbacks on Sunday.

Grandal hit a sacrifice fly in the opening frame and took Chase Anderson deep for a three-run blast in the fifth. He finished 1 for 3 with a walk, a run scored and four RBI. He owns a .204/.302/.376 slash line with 11 homers and 32 RBI over 274 at-bats.

Mets catcher Travis d'Arnaud left the yard Sunday afternoon against the Dodgers in Los Angeles.

D'Arnaud launched a solo home run off Kevin Correia in the second inning. He finished 2 for 5 with a run scored and an RBI. He owns a .228/.292/.396 slash line with 12 homers and 32 RBI over 303 at-bats.

Indians catcher Yan Gomes slowed his baseball activity Sunday after still experiencing concussion symptoms Saturday, MLB.com reports.

"I don't think that it'll be more than [seven days], but there's phases," manager Terry Francona said Sunday. "They ramp up progressively. I think there's three or four steps, and each one you have to pass. When you pass one, you go on to the next one. How fast, it just depends on how you feel."

Gomes won't be rushed back to action as he recovers from his injury. He has hit .284/.324/.477 with 17 home runs and 53 RBI in 384 at-bats.

Royals catcher Salvador Perez was not in the team's starting lineup Saturday against the Rangers.

Perez is coming off a knee injury, but his absence is not related to the issue. Instead, manager Ned Yost said he wants to keep Perez out of the Texas heat. It should be viewed as a normal day off for Perez.

Gomes left Thursday's game after taking a deflected ball off his mask. He missed Friday and Saturday due to the injury. Gomes is hitting .284/.324/.477 over 384 at-bats.

Indians team doctors think catcher Yan Gomes might have a minor concussion, manager Terry Francona told The Chronicle-Telegram Friday. The team has yet to make a decision on whether Gomes will go on the 7-day concussion disabled list yet, however, though he is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Astros. 

Indians catcher Yan Gomes was unable to return to the lineup Friday for the start of a series against the Astros, as he continues to deal with the effects of taking a foul ball off the mask Thursday. At this point, he is considered day to day, and the extent of the issue is not yet known.
