Pete Fairbanks RP | MIA
Rays' Pete Fairbanks: Secures ninth save
Fairbanks walked one and struck out one in a scoreless and hitless inning to earn the save in Wednesday's 3-2 win over the Diamondbacks.
A ninth-inning rally from the Rays created the save situation, and Fairbanks was able to get the job done. The 29-year-old right-hander has converted a save in four of his five appearances since returning from a hip injury, though he took a loss in the one outing in which he allowed a run in that span. The closer is up to nine saves with a 1.65 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 15:8 K:BB over 16.1 innings on the season. Jason Adam has not converted a save since Fairbanks' return from the injured list June 15.

Cody Bradford RP | TEX
Rangers' Cody Bradford: Starting Thursday
Bradford will start Thursday's game against the Tigers.
The decision to start Bradford on Thursday will push back the Rangers' rotation by a game, allowing Jon Gray and Nathan Eovaldi to both start during Texas' upcoming series against Houston on an extra day of rest. Bradford holds a 5.40 ERA and 1.20 WHIP alongside a 12:4 K:BB through 15 innings in the majors this season.

Garrett Hill RP | DET
Tigers' Garrett Hill: Recalled from Toledo
The Tigers recalled Hill from Triple-A Toledo on Wednesday.
Since being optioned to Toledo on June 13, Hill has surrendered two runs across 5.1 innings while striking out seven batters. He'll now be called back into the Tigers' bullpen to replace Anthony Misiewicz, who was optioned to Triple-A in a corresponding move. Hill holds an 8.49 ERA and 1.97 WHIP through 11.2 frames in the majors.

Joely Rodriguez RP | BOS
Red Sox's Joely Rodriguez: Set for rehab appearance Thursday
Rodriguez (shoulder) will make a rehab appearance for Double-A Portland on Thursday, Mac Cerullo of the Boston Herald reports.
Rodriguez will pitch on the road against New Hampshire. The left-hander has made three total rehab appearances while recovering from his left shoulder inflammation, and if things go well Thursday, there's a chance he could rejoin the Boston bullpen over the weekend.

Austin Cox RP | ATL
Royals' Austin Cox: Draws first career start
Cox is scheduled to start Wednesday's game against the Guardians, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.
The rookie left-hander looks like he'll get a chance to nail down a rotation spot after a brilliant start to his big-league career while working out of the bullpen. In his first 12.1 innings with the Royals, Cox has yet to allow a run while striking out 13, and he even retired 39 batters before ceding his first two hits in his most recent outing last Thursday in Tampa Bay. The Royals are unlikely to turn Cox loose for more than five innings Wednesday unless he's economical with his pitch count, so he'll still carry an element of risk as a streaming option even while facing off against a weak Cleveland lineup.

Ian Hamilton RP | ATL
Yankees' Ian Hamilton: Activated off injured list
Hamilton (groin) was activated off the 15-day injured list by the Yankees on Wednesday
Hamilton missed close to six weeks while dealing with a right groin strain. The right-hander was pitching effectively prior to the injury with a 1.23 ERA and 30:9 K:BB over 22 innings in his 16 appearances. He'll be a late-inning option for the New York bullpen now that he's healthy enough to help.

Ronny Henriquez RP | MIA
Twins' Ronny Henriquez: Activated off minor-league IL
Henriquez (oblique) was activated from the minor-league injured list Wednesday at Triple-A St. Paul, Brandon Warne of Access Twins reports.
Henriquez has made only 13 relief appearances this season in the minors due to elbow and oblique troubles, but he's been cleared to return to action with the Triple-A affiliate of the Twins and could eventually get another look in the majors if his health cooperates. The 23-year-old registered a 2.31 ERA with nine strikeouts across his first 11.2 big-league innings in 2022.

Cole Sands RP | MIN
Twins' Cole Sands: Begins rehab assignment
Sands (shoulder) is beginning a rehab assignment with Triple-A St. Paul on Wednesday, Brandon Warne of Access Twins reports.
Sands had posted a 0.73 ERA with 13 strikeouts in 12.1 innings of relief for the Twins before he landed on the injured list in early June due to a right shoulder impingement. He could be an option again for the Minnesota bullpen sometime next week.

Dinelson Lamet RP | LAD
Red Sox's Dinelson Lamet: Inks minors deal with Boston
Lamet signed a minor-league contract Tuesday with the Red Sox.
Lamet was cut loose by the Rockies last week after struggling to an 11.57 ERA in four starts and 12 relief appearances covering 25.2 innings. The 30-year-old former Padres prospect still has intriguing raw stuff, but it's been a while now since he enjoyed sustained success at the major-league level. He'll report to the Triple-A affiliate of the Red Sox in Worcester.
