Munoz (3-7) allowed a run on two hits and struck out one over two-thirds of an inning, taking the loss Sunday versus the Rangers.

It wasn't a save situation, but Munoz wasn't able to keep the game tied at 5-5 in the ninth inning, instead taking a walk-off loss. He entered Sunday on a five-inning scoreless streak before this hiccup. Munoz has maintained a 2.16 ERA, 0.96 WHIP and 76:26 K:BB over 58.1 innings while adding 22 saves in 27 chances and six holds this season.

Yates (7-2) struck out one over a perfect inning to earn the win Sunday over the Mariners.

Yates kept the game tied in the top of the ninth inning, and the Rangers walked it off in their half of the frame. Over his last 13.1 innings, Yates has allowed one run while posting an 18:5 K:BB and earning 10 saves and three wins. He's at a 1.21 ERA, 0.84 WHIP and 84:27 K:BB across 59.2 innings while going 31-for-32 in save chances this season.

Wilson (back) was returned from his rehab assignment Sunday due to right shoulder impingement syndrome, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports.

Wilson was originally forced to the injured list in mid-August due to a lower-back strain. He appeared to be closing in on a return, having made eight appearances during his rehab stint with Triple-A Charlotte, but the shoulder impingement will bring an early end to his campaign. Wilson posted a 5.71 ERA, 1.59 WHIP and 34:26 K:BB over 34.2 innings in his first season with the White Sox.

Manager Aaron Boone said Sunday that Trivino (elbow) has been shut down due to "shoulder stuff," Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.

Trivino had been working his way back from Tommy John surgery and recently agreed to extend his rehab assignment, but it's a moot point now that his shoulder's barking. Boone was vague and didn't disclose the extent of the issue, so it's unclear whether Trivino could still be an option in the postseason.

Cousins, whom the Yankees placed on the 15-day injured list earlier Sunday with a right pectoral strain, could resume mound work within the next week, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.

The pec strain has brought Cousins' regular season to an end, but if he can return to elevated ground this week as hoped, he may still be an option for New York at some point in the postseason. Cousins ranks fifth on the team in holds with eight to go along with a 2.37 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 53:20 K:BB over 38 innings in his first season in pinstripes.

Turnbull (lat) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Sunday.

Sidelined since late June with a right lat strain, Turnbull is finally ready to return to a live setting. He'll be cutting it close, but it appears he'll get a chance to bolster his case for a postseason roster spot with an appearance or two during the final week of the regular season. Turnbull has posted a stellar 2.65 ERA and 1.05 WHIP in 54.1 innings with Philadelphia this season.

The Padres recalled Brito from Triple-A El Paso on Sunday and placed him on the 60-day injured list with a right elbow strain.

Brito landed on the IL at El Paso earlier this month, and the Padres have since clarified that he's dealing with a right elbow strain. Part of the Padres' return in the offseason trade that sent Juan Soto to the Yankees, Brito will end the season with a 4.12 ERA and 1.35 WHIP over 43.2 innings (26 appearances) with San Diego. His move to the 60-day IL frees up a spot on the 40-man roster for infielder Nick Ahmed, whose contract was selected in a corresponding move.

The Yankees recalled Beeter from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Sunday.

Beeter will come up to replace Jake Cousins (pectoral), who landed on the 15-day injured list. The right-handed Beeter was at one point feared lost for the season due to a shoulder injury, but he was able to return to action in the minors earlier this month. He allowed just one hit over four scoreless innings after rejoining Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

The Yankees placed Cousins (pectoral) on the 15-day injured list Sunday, retroactive to Sept. 20.

There was initial optimism that Cousins would avoid the IL after he left Thursday's game with pectoral tightness, but his regular season is officially over after he was diagnosed with a right pec strain. Cousins has pitched well this season with a 2.37 ERA and 1.05 WHIP in 38 innings, and the Yankees are likely holding out hope that he can be an option in the postseason.

The Mariners recalled Speier from Triple-A Tacoma on Sunday, Shannon Drayer of SeattleSports.com reports.

With Emerson Hancock heading down to Triple-A, Speier will return to the active roster, at least until the club makes room for Luis Castillo's (hamstring) return from the 15-day injured list. Speier has split his time fairly evenly between Triple-A and the majors this season, posting a 5.66 ERA and 1.35 WHIP in 26 relief appearances with the major-league team.
