Iglesias earned the save in Friday's 3-2 win over the Brewers, allowing one run on two hits and one walk with one strikeout in the ninth inning.

Iglesias was summoned to protect a two-run lead in the ninth but ran into trouble, allowing an RBI single to Brice Turang that could have been more damaging had Jackson Chourio not been thrown out at home. Iglesias then rebounded with a three-pitch strikeout to remain a perfect 15-for-15 in save chances this season. Despite allowing a run in two of his past three outings, the 36-year-old owns a stellar 1.48 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 28:6 K:BB across 24.1 innings.

Manager Kevin Cash said Friday that Uceta (shoulder) will resume his throwing program sometime around June 29, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Uceta has been shut down since he suffered a setback in late May during his recovery from a right shoulder strain, but there is now a clear end in sight to his no-throw period. An updated timeline for his return from the injured list may come after he gets through a few rounds of catch.

Manager Kevin Cash said Friday that Rodriguez (elbow) will begin throwing live batting practice June 30, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Rodriguez has been on the shelf all season while on the mend from an elbow procedure he underwent last August. He was cleared to begin throwing off a mound in May, and the Rays will seemingly have him throw a few more bullpen sessions before clearing him to begin facing hitters at the end of the month. A timeline for his return to the bullpen remains unknown, though he will almost certainly require several tuneup appearances in the minors before coming off the IL.

Arizona is shutting down Puk (elbow) for another four weeks due to a capsule strain and he will also undergo another MRI in four weeks, Bob Nightengale of USA Today reports.

Puk has yet to make his season debut for Arizona in 2026 and the wait will now be even longer after the club determined he will be shut down for another four weeks. Once the four weeks are up, the left-hander will undergo an MRI to see if his recovery has advanced at all.

The Padres optioned Rodriguez to the Arizona Complex League on Friday.

The Padres have been planning to get Rodriguez some time off to rest, per Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune, so the team will send him all the way down to rookie ball while he does so. The 22-year-old righty owns a 2.10 ERA and 1.19 WHIP across 34.1 innings with the Friars this season, so he'll likely return to San Diego's bullpen once he's well rested. Mason Miller was activated from the bereavement list in a corresponding move.

The Padres reinstated Miller from the Bereavement/Family Medical Leave List Friday.

Miller will make his return to San Diego after being out since Monday. The Padres optioned Bradgley Rodriguez to the Arizona Complex League in order to make room for Miller on the active roster. Miller has been lights-out this campaign with a 0.90 ERA, 0.80 WHIP and 59:12 K:BB through 30 innings of work.

Diaz (elbow) is throwing in the bullpen Friday at Dodger Stadium, reports Jack Harris of the California Post.

Diaz has been out of commission since April 20 after undergoing surgery for loose bodies in his right elbow. Manager Dave Roberts says his closer has been progressing well since the procedure was completed. The 32-year-old Diaz was recently cleared to ramp up his throwing progression.

Manager Blake Butera said Mikolas is scheduled to pitch behind opener PJ Poulin against the Rays on Friday, Andrew Golden of TheBanner.com reports.

Mikolas was initially penciled in to pitch Saturday, but he'll be moved up to Friday after Cade Cavalli (illness) was scratched. Mikolas has fared much better when working in bulk relief this season, as he has a 3.56 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 22:6 K:BB across 43 innings out of the bullpen.

Cleveland optioned Dion to Triple-A Columbus on Friday, Tim Stebbins of MLB.com reports.

Dion will make his way back to Columbus after making just six appearances since having his contract selected May 25. With Cleveland, the 26-year-old recorded a 5.56 ERA, 1.85 WHIP and 13:3 K:BB in 11.1 innings. Erik Sabrowski (elbow) will take Dion's spot on the active roster.

The Guardians activated Sabrowski (elbow) from the 15-day injured list Friday, Tim Stebbins of MLB.com reports.

Sabrowski was sidelined for just over three weeks with left elbow inflammation and will rejoin the club in Houston. Before landing on the IL, the 28-year-old was off to a terrific start, posting a 1.71 ERA, 0.95 WHIP and 39:13 K:BB through 21 innings. Cleveland optioned Will Dion to Triple-A Columbus in order to make room for Sabrowski on the active roster.
