Verlander (0-7) took the loss Wednesday against the Phillies, allowing four runs (two earned) on seven hits across six innings. He struck out seven.

While Verlander was able to log a quality start, the right-hander will ultimately head into the All-Star break without a win through his first 15 outings of 2025. Overall, Verlander sports a 4.70 ERA, 1.42 WHIP and 67:26 K:BB across 76.2 innings this season. Depending how the Giants line up their rotation coming out of the break, Verlander's first start of the second half will come against Toronto or Atlanta.

Luzardo (8-5) earned the win Wednesday against the Giants, allowing three hits and a walk over seven scoreless innings. He struck out seven.

It was a much-needed bounce-back effort from Luzardo, after he gave up six runs (five earned) in just two innings against the Reds in his last start. The southpaw had struggled to a 9.49 ERA in his last seven outings (30.1 innings) prior to Wednesday. Luzardo will finish an up-and-down first half of the season with a 4.14 ERA, 1.41 WHIP and 122:36 K:BB across 19 starts (104.1 innings).

Glasnow did not factor into the decision Wednesday against the Brewers, allowing one unearned run on two hits and three walks over five innings. He struck out five.

It was a strong return to the mound for Glasnow, who'd been sidelined since late April with a shoulder injury. The right-hander didn't appear to be limited Wednesday, as he made it through five innings and threw 85 pitches, with the Brewers' lone run coming on a Will Smith throwing error in the fifth. Overall, Glasnow sports a 3.52 ERA with a 1.22 WHIP and 28:14 K:BB through his first 23 innings this season.

Quintana allowed one run on two hits and four walks over six innings in a no-decision Wednesday against the Dodgers. He struck out four.

It was a strong outing overall for Quintana, with the Dodgers' lone run coming on a two-out, bases-loaded walk to Shohei Ohtani in the fifth inning. It's just the second time in Quintana's last 10 starts that he's made it through six innings. The left-hander will head into the All-Star break with a 3.28 ERA, 1.36 WHIP and 48:31 K:BB across 13 outings (71.1 innings).

Orioles interim manager Tony Mansolino said Tuesday that Bradish (elbow) will throw at least one more live batting practice session in Florida before beginning a minor-league rehab assignment, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.

Bradish has already completed two live BP sessions, so if he's able to face hitters again at some point later this week, he could be cleared to pitch in games shortly after the All-Star break. The right-hander is working his way back from Tommy John surgery with an internal brace, a procedure he underwent June 19, 2024. Barring any setbacks in his recovery during his rehab assignment, Bradish could be ready to join the Baltimore rotation at some point in August.

Sugano and the Orioles won't play the Mets on Wednesday, as the game was postponed due to rain.

Wednesday's game will be made up during a doubleheader Thursday, and Sugano will take the mound to start the nightcap, per Jake Rill of MLB.com. The 35-year-old will be looking to bounce back after getting hit around quite a bit lately, giving up 13 earned runs in 9.2 innings over his last two outings.

Peterson and the Mets won't face the Orioles on Wednesday, as the game was postponed due to rain.

The two clubs will play a doubleheader Thursday to make up for Wednesday's contest, and Peterson will take the mound to start the early game, per Laura Albanese of Newsday.

Lauer (4-2) took the loss Wednesday against the White Sox, allowing two runs on four hits and a walk over four innings. He struck out seven.

Lauer was solid Wednesday, holding Chicago scoreless through his first three innings while allowing just one hit. However, the left-hander would surrender a pair of runs on three hits in the fourth, which proved to be enough to stick him with the loss in a 2-1 defeat. It's been an impressive year overall for Lauer, who joined Toronto's rotation in June when Bowden Francis (shoulder) landed on the IL -- he's yet to allow more than three runs in an outing. Lauer sports a 2.78 ERA with a 1.04 WHIP and 58:16 K:BB across 55 innings this season.

Houser (5-2) earned the win Wednesday over the Blue Jays, allowing one run on seven hits and two walks over seven innings. He struck out two.

Houser picked up a third straight win and fourth consecutive quality start against a Blue Jays team that came into Wednesday on a 10-game hit streak. The 32-year-old Houser has been nothing short of remarkable since signing with the White Sox in late May. Through nine starts, his ERA is down to 1.56 with a 1.13 WHIP and 39:18 K:BB across 57.2 innings.

Orioles interim manager Tony Mansolino said Wednesday that Eflin (back) is tracking toward making a rehab start Sunday, Danielle Allentuck of TheBaltimoreBanner.com reports.

Eflin likely has one more throwing session to get through before the Orioles map out a rehab schedule for him, but assuming he experiences no further setbacks with his back, he should be ready to report to an affiliate Sunday. The veteran right-hander may need just one rehab start before rejoining the Baltimore rotation at the start of the second half. Eflin has been on the 15-day injured list since late June due to low-back discomfort.
