  • Jeremy Pena SS | HOU

Astros' Jeremy Pena: Drives in two, scores once

Pena went 1-for-3 with two walks, two RBI and a run scored Tuesday against the Twins.

Pena delivered an RBI in each of his first two plate appearances, the latter coming on a single. He also walked to lead off the sixth inning before coming around to score. Though Pena has dropped in the order since a brief stint as the team's leadoff hitter, he is in the midst of a seven-game hitting streak during which he's collected seven RBI and four runs scored while also tallying a stolen base. Across 110 plate appearances on the campaign, he is hitting .245/.318/.490.

  • Nick Ahmed SS | TEX

    Diamondbacks' Nick Ahmed: Fighting slump

Ahmed went 1-for-2 with two walks, an RBI and two runs scored in Tuesday's 9-3 win over Miami.

Ahmed returned to the lineup after a one-day breather and delivered one of three two-out RBIs during Arizona's four-run third inning. It was just his second hit over the last 24 at-bats. The shortstop was scalding when he first came off the injury list, notching three home runs and two doubles while hitting .348 over his first 23 at-bats, but he has gone the other way since.

  • Diamondbacks' Geraldo Perdomo: Delivers pair in win

Perdomo started at third base and went 2-for-4 with two RBI and two runs scored in Tuesday's 9-3 win over the Marlins.

Perdomo was one of three consecutive bottom-of-the-order hitters to deliver two-out RBIs in Arizona's four-run third inning, which chased Miami starter Jesus Luzardo and provided separation for the Diamondbacks. A later single produced one of three runs in the eighth inning, giving Perdomo three RBI in 24 games. Hitting at the bottom of the order doesn't generate a lot of RBI opportunities for the infield prospect, who has has lost at-bats since Josh Rojas returned from injury. However, Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo jockeys the lineup so that Perdomo stays fresh. Tuesday was Perdomo's third start in the five games since Rojas was activated.

Lindor's .246/.326/.418 slash line is on a par with his disappointing numbers over the prior two seasons, but he's at least picked up the slack in the counting stats, adding five homers, four steals, 17 runs and 18 RBI through 31 games.

Turner went 2-for-4 with a walk, a double, two runs scored, an RBI and a stolen base in Tuesday's 11-1 win over the Pirates.

The 25-year-old is handling an everyday role for Oakland but doesn't offer much production with a .219/.254/.375 slash line along with one home run, seven RBI, five runs and two stolen bases.

  • Angels' Andrew Velazquez: Three hits, stolen base

It was his fifth stolen base of the season and second in his last three contests. The shortstop has eight multi-hit games in his last 13 appearances, slashing .379/.419/.586 in that span.

  • Rays' Wander Franco: Exits for rest

Franco doesn't have an injury and was removed from Tuesday's game against the Angels for rest purposes, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Franco appeared to suffer an injury when running out a groundball Tuesday, but he was instead removed for rest purposes amid an 8-0 blowout. The 21-year-old went 0-for-2 prior to his exit and should be in the lineup for Wednesday's series finale versus the Angels.
