Ingle is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Rangers.

Ingle will head to the bench for the first time since he was called up from Triple-A Columbus on Friday. While making two starts at designated hitter and one in left field during the Guardians' weekend series versus Seattle, Ingle went 1-for-7 with three walks, two RBI and one run.

The Nationals recalled Palmquist from Triple-A Rochester on Monday.

He could fill the role of long reliever vacated by Mitchell Parker (elbow), who landed on the 15-day injured list Monday. Palmquist permitted one earned run over 3.1 innings last week in his lone appearance for the Nationals.

The Nationals placed Lovelady on the 15-day injured list Monday with a left triceps strain.

Lovelady retired the only batter he faced during an appearance Sunday versus the Orioles, but he apparently came out of the outing with an injury. The lefty reliever has filled a variety of roles for the Nationals this season from opener to occasional closer, but he'll now been shelved at least through the All-Star break.

Manzardo is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Rangers.

Rhys Hoskins will draw the start at first base while southpaw Tyler Alexander opens the game for Texas, but the left-handed-hitting Manzardo could replace Hoskins at some point later in the contest once the Rangers send a right-hander to the bump. Manzardo had started each of the Guardians' last 12 games but went just 8-for-42 (.190 average) with 15 strikeouts during that stretch.

The Nationals placed Parker on the 15-day injured list Monday with left elbow inflammation.

Parker was forced from an appearance Sunday versus the Orioles due to the injury. While the injury designation is listed as inflammation, it's not clear whether Parker might still need to undergo testing to rule out a more serious injury. The southpaw has collected a 6.58 ERA and 34:13 K:BB over 39.2 innings out of the Washington bullpen this season.

Arias will start at third base and bat eighth in Monday's game against the Rangers.

After returning to the active roster June 14 following an extended stint on the injured list, Arias got off to a rough start while filling a utility role for the Guardians, slashing just .182/.182/.227 with 13 strikeouts in seven games. With Daniel Schneemann having endured an even longer dry spell at the plate, the Guardians appear to have turned third base over to Arias while the club awaits the return of Jose Ramirez (hand) from the injured list. Arias will draw a third consecutive start after going 2-for-5 with a stolen base and a run over the final two games of the Guardians' weekend series versus the Mariners.

Mayo is not in the lineup for Monday's contest against the White Sox.

Mayo had made nine consecutive starts, though that was preceded by a stretch when he was out of the lineup for five straight games. With Adley Rutschman and Dylan Beavers having returned from the injured list Sunday, there could be fewer opportunities moving forward for Mayo, who will have to contend with Blaze Alexander for reps at third base. Alexander is at the hot corner for Monday's series opener.

Bailey is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Rangers.

Bailey made three straight starts behind the dish before being left out of the lineup in Sunday's 6-5 win over Seattle. He ended up entering Sunday's contest as a pinch hitter, striking out in his lone at-bat while catching the game's final three innings. The Guardians may be looking to give Bailey a proper rest day Monday while Austin Hedges receives the starting nod at catcher in the series opener.

Johnston will start in right field and bat sixth in Monday's game against the Marlins.

The Rockies will keep Johnston in the starting nine for the fourth straight game and for the fifth time in six contests after he went 6-for-15 at the plate over the previous week, boosting his OPS to .814 on the season. Johnston's opportunities appeared to be on the downturn around the middle of the June, but he's begun to eat into the playing time Tyler Freeman, a right-handed hitter who should play regularly against lefties but may be in line for more of a part-time role against righties. With Colorado projected to face four right-handed Marlins starters and two right-handed Giants starters at Coors Field during its seven-game week, the left-handed-hitting Johnston looks like a solid short-term fantasy option, even in shallower leagues.

The Yankees recalled Bird from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Monday.

He'll grab the roster spot vacated by David Bednar, who was placed on the paternity leave list. Bird boasts a 27:7 K:BB over 24 innings with the Yankees this season, though that's come with a bloated 4.88 ERA. He could be sent back down later this week when Bednar returns.
