Morel is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Twins.

Morel had started five of the Marlins' past six games, but he went just 1-for-17 with a 1:7 BB:K over that stretch. Though a path exists for him to see everyday playing time after Graham Pauley was recently demoted to Triple-A Jacksonville, Morel may have to pick up the pace at the dish in order to take full control of a regular spot in the lineup.

Caissie (triceps) will start in right field and bat eighth in Wednesday's game against the Twins.

Caissie will rejoin the starting nine for the first time since Saturday, after left triceps discomfort kept him on the bench for the previous two contests. Before the injury cropped up, Caissie had gotten off to an underwhelming start to the 2026 campaign, slashing just .198/.254/.317 with a 41.2 percent strikeout rate over 114 plate appearances.

Hamilton is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Padres.

The Brewers have often held Hamilton out of the lineup against left-handed starters this season, but he'll take a seat Wednesday while the Padres send righty Michael King to the mound. With Hamilton on the bench, Milwaukee will go with Joey Ortiz at shortstop and Luis Rengifo at third base.

Laureano is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Brewers.

The Padres will hold Laureano out of the starting nine for the second time in three games while he has yet to break out of an extended funk at the plate. Over his last 24 contests, Laureano has struck out at least once in every contest while slashing a porous .181/.278/.313. With Laureano on the bench Wednesday, the Padres will go with Gavin Sheets, Jackson Merrill and Nick Castellanos as their starters in the outfield from left to right.

Song is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Brewers.

After Jake Cronenworth was diagnosed with a concussion May 5 and placed on the 7-day injured list, Song had started at second base in five of the Friars' ensuing six games, but he'll cede the keystone to Fernando Tatis on Wednesday for the second day in a row. Since recording two hits in his first start, Song has gone 0-for-8 with a 2:4 BB:K, and his lack of production may have closed his window for handling an everyday role while Cronenworth is shelved.

Fermin is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Brewers.

He'll hit the bench after starting behind the plate in three of the Padres' previous four contests. Rodolfo Duran will step in as the Friars' starting catcher Wednesday.

Isbel is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the White Sox.

With southpaw Noah Schultz on the bump for Chicago, the Royals will stock up on some extra right-handed bats. Isbel will hit the bench along with fellow left-handed hitters Michael Massey, Jac Caglianone and Carter Jensen.

Schmitt is not in the Giants' starting lineup against the Dodgers on Wednesday, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

The Giants will go with Bryce Eldridge as the designated hitter against righty Shohei Ohtani in Wednesday's game. In 10 games since May 1, Schmitt has gone 9-for-37 (.243) with two steals, two home runs, four RBI and five runs scored.

Bader is not in the Giants' starting lineup against the Dodgers on Wednesday, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

With the Dodgers sending Shohei Ohtani to the mound, Bader will be on the bench for the beginning of Wednesday's game while the Giants start Heliot Ramos, Drew Gilbert and Jung Hoo Lee in the outfield from left to right. Bader has gone 3-for-11 with a solo home run and a double over his last three games.

Caglianone is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the White Sox.
