Teoscar Hernandez LF | LAD
Dodgers' Teoscar Hernandez: Targeting June 29 return
Hernandez (hamstring) is expected to report to Triple-A Oklahoma City to begin a rehab assignment this week in hopes of coming off the injured list for the Doders' series opener against the Athletics on June 29, Sonja Chen of MLB.com reports.
The veteran slugger has been participating in live batting practice over the past few days, which could be the final hurdle before being cleared for minor-league action. Hernandez expected to be sidelined for about a month after sustaining a Grade 1 hamstring strain in late May, and he appears to be on track with that initial timeline.

Tommy Edman LF | LAD
Dodgers' Tommy Edman: Taking seat Sunday
Edman is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Orioles.
Edman will hit the bench after he started each of the past three games -- two at third base, one in left field -- while going a collective 5-for-12 with a double and a walk. His clearest path to regular playing time could eventually come at second base, where Alex Freeland (.649 OPS over 174 plate appearances this season) has been serving as the Dodgers' primary option since being called up from Triple-A Oklahoma City on May 27.

Will Smith C | LAD
Dodgers' Will Smith: Out through road trip
Manager Dave Roberts said Sunday that Smith (neck) won't travel with the Dodgers for their upcoming road trip, which begins Monday and runs through July 1, Sonja Chen of MLB.com reports.
The veteran backstop may require a minor-league rehab assignment and could be back as early as the start of the Dodgers' next homestand, which starts July 2 in San Diego. Smith recently received a cortisone injection to address the neck inflammation that has sidelined him for the past couple weeks.

Dalton Rushing C | LAD
Dodgers' Dalton Rushing: Receiving afternoon off
Rushing is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Orioles.
Chuckie Robinson will get the nod at catcher while Rushing rests for the series finale. Though he's settled in as the Dodgers' primary backstop after Will Smith (neck) landed on the injured list June 11, Rushing hasn't produced much for fantasy managers since that date, slashing just .167/.310/.292 with no home runs or stolen bases, two runs and one RBI over seven games.

Luke Raley RF | SEA
Mariners' Luke Raley: Taking seat against southpaw
Raley (illness) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Red Sox.
Raley will be on the bench for a sixth straight game, but his absence Sunday may have more to do with a lefty (Payton Tolle) making the start for Boston. The 31-year-old made enough progress in his recovery from an illness to make a pinch-hitting appearance in Saturday's 5-1 loss, with Raley striking out in his lone at-bat.
-
Masataka Yoshida DH | BOS
Red Sox's Masataka Yoshida: Sitting again Sunday
Yoshida is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Mariners.
The left-handed-hitting Yoshida will hit the bench for the third time in four games despite the Red Sox facing right-handed starting pitchers in each of those contests. With Yoshida having cobbled together an underwhelming .248/.329/.331 slash line over 164 plate appearances on the season, the Red Sox appear ready to scale back his role to see if another player can inject some life into the offense.

Andruw Monasterio 2B | BOS
Red Sox's Andruw Monasterio: Idle for second straight game
Monasterio is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Mariners.
Monasterio will be on the bench for a second straight game while the Red Sox give Anthony Seigler another turn at second base. Boston went with Monasterio at the keystone in each of the three games before that, with the 29-year-old going 2-for-10 with four strikeouts in those contests. Monasterio and Seigler could work in a timeshare at the position while the Red Sox are without all of Trevor Story (sports hernia), Romy Gonzalez (shoulder/hip), Nick Sogard (oblique) and Isiah Kiner-Falefa (forearm).

Jordan Montgomery SP | TEX
Rangers' Jordan Montgomery: Starting rehab assignment
Montgomery (elbow) will begin a rehab assignment Sunday with Double-A Frisco.
The left-hander has been working his way back from the hybrid UCL reconstruction surgery he underwent on his elbow in March 2025, and he's now entering the final stage of his rehab program. Montgomery will require a handful of rehab starts in the minor leagues before gaining full clearance, lining him up to potentially join the Rangers in late July or early August.

Carlos Cortes RF | ATH
Athletics' Carlos Cortes: Idle against southpaw
Cortes is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Angels.
Cortes is stuck in a 2-for-29 slump at the plate over his last 10 games, and since the left-handed hitter likely would have struggled to get back on track Sunday versus Angels southpaw Reid Detmers, the Athletics have elected to keep him on the bench for a second straight game. Joey Meneses will step in for Cortes as the Athletics' designated hitter in the series finale.

Lawrence Butler RF | ATH
Athletics' Lawrence Butler: Heading to bench vs. lefty
Butler is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Angels.
After starting in six of the Athletics' previous seven games, the left-handed-hitting Butler will head to the bench while the Angels send southpaw Reid Detmers to the bump Sunday. Colby Thomas will replace Butler in right field and will bat seventh.
