Jamaree Salyer: Cut after reaching injury settlement
The Dolphins removed Salyer (knee) from their injured reserve list with an injury settlement Tuesday, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
Rather than spending the year on Miami's injured reserve list, Salyer will now become a free agent eligible to play with any team willing to sign him as soon as he's back to full strength. It's still not totally clear what type of knee injury he's currently tending to, however.

Miller (shoulder) was a full participant in Tuesday's practice, Mike Triplett of NewOrleans.Football reports.
Miller exited Saturday's preseason loss to the Jaguars early due to a shoulder injury. The nose tackle has since recovered from the issue and is back in action. Miller will likely play in Friday's preseason finale against the Cowboys to put together one last gameday performance before the regular season commences. The second-round rookie will likely be utilized as a depth option and special teams player throughout the 2026 season.

Browns' Michael Coats: Suffers leg injury at practice
Coats sustained a leg injury during the Browns' training camp practice Tuesday, Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports.
Per Petrak, Coats needed assistance to leave the practice field and was not putting any weight on his right leg. Until Coats is able to return to action, free-agent acquisition Tyler Hall could see an uptick in reps in the secondary.

The Bears placed Sewell (concussion) on injured reserve Tuesday.
Sewell was fighting a losing battle to make the 53-man roster before his injury, so season-ending injury reserve for a concussion is no surprise. The linebacker will now spend the entirety of the 2026 regular season on IR unless he is waived with an injury settlement.

The Bears activated Elliott (undisclosed) from the active/PUP list Tuesday.
Elliott has not yet participated in training camp, being held out of Tuesday's session due to a lingering undisclosed injury. The rookie fifth-rounder should be back in action shortly after being activated and is likely set to be a special-teams contributor and lower-priority depth option at linebacker throughout the 2026 season.

The Bears activated Hicks (shin) from the active/PUP list Tuesday.
Hicks' activation means he is likely close to returning to daily practice activities. The safety was held out of practice Tuesday but will likely get back to action in time for the regular season. The backup strong safety is set to be a veteran presence behind first-round pick Dillon Thieneman.

Cook (undisclosed) participated during the Bengals' training camp practice Tuesday, Ben Baby of ESPN.com reports.
Cook has missed time after suffering an apparent hamstring injury earlier in August, but it now looks like he's back in football shape. Despite whether he plays in Friday's preseason game at Philadelphia, it seems like he's trending toward being available for Week 1 of the regular season, barring any setbacks.

The Buccaneers placed McKnight (hamstring) on injured reserve Tuesday, Scott Smith of the team's official site reports.
McKnight suffered a hamstring injury in Saturday night's preseason game against the Chiefs. The rookie defensive lineman will now miss the entirety of the 2026 regular season unless he is waived with an injury settlement. The Buccaneers signed rookie wide receiver Matthew Henry in a corresponding move.

The Vikings waived/injured McGlothern (undisclosed) on Tuesday, Calvin Watkins of The Dallas Morning News reports.
McGlothern has appeared in 15 games for the Vikings over two seasons, logging 84 total snaps. The cornerback will likely clear waivers and revert to the team's injured reserve list. If he does revert to IR, McGlothern will miss the entirety of the 2026 regular season unless he is waived with an injury settlement.

Cardinals' Hjalte Froholdt: Signs extension with Cards
Arizona signed Froholdt to a two-year, $20 million contract extension Tuesday, Ian Rapoport of ESPN and NFL Network reports.
The deal will keep the veteran center on the Cardinals' books through the 2028 season. Froholdt has played 17 games with Arizona in all of the past three years, and he figures to continue to start as their center as long as he remains healthy.
