Bullard (hamstring) worked with the rehab group Sunday, Nick Harris of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.

Bullard has been working with the rehab group since developing hamstring soreness last Tuesday. The team does not seem to view the injury as a large concern and is letting the defensive end take his time to work through the issue. Bullard's absence has allowed other depth members of the Cowboys' defensive line to see increased reps, such as Tommy Dunn and Kelvin Gilliam.

Bullard (undisclosed) exited Sunday's practice early and was talking with trainers, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.

It is unclear what type of issue caused Bullard to leave the field. Kitan Oladapo took over as the slot cornerback for the first team when Bullard left and will presumably fill the role if the starter must miss time. Rookie second-round pick Brandon Cisse may also get a shot at the slot cornerback or third safety role if Bullard must take a prolonged absence.

Valdes-Scantling (undisclosed) did not participate in Sunday's practice, Calvin Watkins of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Valdes-Scantling was working off to the side individually Sunday after suffering an injury in Saturday's session. The wide receiver should be back to full practice shortly. The 31-year-old veteran seems set to be a depth receiver for the Cowboys as the team rolls out CeeDee Lamb, George Pickens, Ryan Flournoy and KaVontae Turpin as the starting four options.

The Colts signed Montgomery to a contract Sunday.

Montgomery was not tendered by the Colts in early March but has found his way back to the team. Fellow wide receiver Liam Clifford was waived in a corresponding move to make room for the familiar face. The team is trying out a variety of players at the position as Alec Pierce (ankle), Josh Downs (groin) and Laquon Treadwell (hamstring) remain injured.

Leonard is set to play in Thursday's preseason opener against the Patriots, James Boyd of The Athletic reports.

Leonard is preparing to share snaps with Anthony Richardson as the two battle it out for the backup quarterback role behind starter Daniel Jones. It remains unclear which contender is set to receive the dominant snap share Thursday, and in-game performance will likely play a role in the final decision.

Richardson is set to share snaps with fellow quarterback Riley Leonard in Thursday's game as the two continue to compete for the No. 2 quarterback role behind Daniel Jones. Richardson has had a rough run in training camp and will need to show out during the preseason to keep his spot as the backup.

Reed is dealing with a minor groin issue, Justin Rogers of DetroitFootball.net reports.

Reed has missed three consecutive practices due to the issue, but it is not considered significant. The starting cornerback could likely play through the issue if need be and is still set to be ready for the regular season.

Turner (back) is considered day-to-day, Justin Rogers of DetroitFootball.net reports.

Turner signed with the Lions in late March after missing the entire 2025 season due to a rib injury. The defensive end will hope to overcome his back injury soon and be able to return to practice, but any missed time reduces his chances of surviving cut-down day.

Altmyer will have a chance to compete for the No. 2 quarterback role, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports.

Altmyer is set to receive a ton of No. 2 reps after former Lions backup Teddy Bridgewater stated he is likely retiring. Altmyer, an undrafted free agent out of Illinois, is set to compete with whichever veteran backup the Lions bring in. The quarterback completed 67 percent of his passes for 3,007 yards and 22 touchdowns, throwing just five interceptions, over 13 games in his final collegiate season. He also added 242 rushing yards for five touchdowns on the ground during the campaign with more than 100 attempts.

Joe Buscaglia of The Athletic relays that Bell's game-day role will be determined by his performances across the Bills' three preseason games.

Buscaglia notes that Bell is locked in as the Bills' WR5 behind DJ Moore, Khalil Shakir, Keon Coleman and Joshua Palmer. The Bills could opt to keep Mecole Hardman as a sixth wide receiver and primary punt returner, which would make it more likely that Bell begins the regular season as a healthy scratch without an outstanding effort over Buffalo's three exhibition games. Bell was a fourth-round selection of the Bills in the 2026 NFL Draft following a strong final college season at UConn, when he caught 101 passes for 1,278 yards and 13 touchdowns across 12 games.
