The 2025-26 MLB offseason is winding down and the market is finally starting to heat up as the Red Sox are signing Ranger Suárez on a five-year deal. That comes just days after Boston lost Alex Bregman to the Chicago Cubs.

Plenty of big-name free agents remain unsigned, including Kyle Tucker, Bo Bichette, Framber Valdez and Cody Bellinger. Kyle Schwarber (who returned to the Phillies), Pete Alonso and Edwin Dìaz (who left the Mets for the Orioles and Dodgers, respectively) all signed during the Winter Meetings in December. The Astros, meanwhile, made a splash on New Year's Day, agreeing to a contract with Japanese rigty Tatsuya Imai, who is coming to MLB after a stellar career in Japan's Nippon Professional Baseball.

Earlier this winter, right-hander Dylan Cease agreed to a seven-year, $210 million deal with the Blue Jays on Thanksgiving Eve. It's tied for the fourth-largest deal in terms of total money among active pitchers, and is a big boost for the reigning AL champs.

While there's no Aaron Judge or Juan Soto on the market this winter, there's plenty of top talent still available. Tucker, a four-time All-Star who will turn 29 in January, leads the list, and though his second half left much to be desired, he could be a huge asset for any team. Bregman was left on the market until late last winter but he showed no ill effects, putting up a 128 OPS+. On the pitching side, Valdez and Suárez would slot in toward the front of any rotation.
