Parker allowed two runs on five hits and one walk while striking out three batters over 5.2 innings in a no-decision against Baltimore on Wednesday.

Parker served up his first two homers of the season -- both solo shots -- in the contest, but those were the only runs he allowed. He was given the hook after throwing only 77 pitches with two outs in the sixth inning, preventing him from notching his second quality start. Despite that disappointment and the fact that he fanned only three batters, this was another positive outing for the rookie, as he's now given up two or fewer runs in four of his five appearances. Parker has made a strong impression in the majors thus far with a 2.67 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 22:5 K:BB over 27 innings through five starts.

Bradish tossed five innings, allowing one run on four hits and two walks while striking out nine batters in a no-decision against Washington on Wednesday.

In his second start of the campaign, Bradish nudged his pitch count up a bit from 84 to 90 while completing five frames. The right-hander gave up just one run -- as he did in his first start of the season -- and racked up nine strikeouts but settled for a no-decision as both teams' offenses were quiet until the latter portion of the contest. In terms of health, Bradish is still working his way back from the UCL sprain he was diagnosed with in mid-February, though he already appears to be in good form; through two starts, he's posted a 14:4 K:BB while giving up just two runs and eights hits across 9.2 innings.

Stone (3-1) picked up the win Wednesday against Miami, allowing one run on six hits and no walks over seven innings. He struck out four.

Outside of a solo homer to Bryan De La Cruz in the fourth inning, Stone was exceptional, yielding one run for a third consecutive start. He's lasted at least six innings in three straight outings, dragging his ERA down to 3.55 through 38.0 frames. With Bobby Miller (shoulder) nearing the start of a rehab assignment, Stone could only have a couple more go-arounds in the Dodgers' rotation, with a date at San Francisco on tap for Tuesday.

Weathers (2-4) took the loss Wednesday, allowing three runs on five hits and a walk over six innings against the Dodgers. He struck out three.

Weathers submitted his second straight quality start; however, he was stuck with the loss as the Marlins could only muster up one run off Gavin Stone and the Dodgers' bullpen. He gave up a two-run home run in the sixth to Teoscar Hernandez, marking Weathers' fifth consecutive start allowing a long ball. The southpaw has been serviceable for Miami this season, having allowed more than three runs once in eight starts with a 1.32 WHIP.

Cease (5-2) picked up the win Wednesday against the Cubs, allowing one hit and two walks over seven scoreless innings. He struck out 12.

Cease fell one K shy of his career high in strikeouts and allowed only four total baserunners -- an infield single, two walks and a hit-by-pitch -- en route to his fifth win of his last six starts. He's been making a case for the NL Cy Young in his first season with the Padres, earning a 2.19 ERA and a 0.75 WHIP with 60 strikeouts over 49.1 innings pitched. Cease will look to add to his already impressive 2024 resume in a projected home start Tuesday against the Rockies.

Ross (1-4) took the loss Wednesday, allowing three runs on three hits and two walks across five innings against the Royals. He struck out two.

Each of the three hits Ross allowed went for extra bases, including back-to-back two-baggers by Maikel Garcia and Bobby Witt in the first inning -- both of whom scored via the sacrifice fly. Ross has been handed a loss in four of his last five outings, owning a 5.88 ERA and a 19:8 K:BB across 26.0 innings during that stretch. He'll look to get back on track in a tentatively scheduled start Tuesday against Pittsburgh.

Singer (3-1) earned the win Wednesday against Milwaukee, allowing one run on five hits and two walks over 5.1 innings. He struck out four.

Singer tallied his first win in five starts, yielding one run for a third consecutive outing. He settled in nicely after allowing doubles to the first two batters he faced, keeping the Brewers off the scoreboard following the first frame. Singer has allowed more than two runs in just one start this season and owns a 2.36 ERA with 46 strikeouts across 45.2 innings. He's lined up for a start in Seattle on Monday.

Bido was removed from his start Wednesday due to a blister on his right middle finger, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.

Bido allowed four earned runs before he was removed from the game midway through the third inning. The severity of his injury is unclear, but the A's haven't given any indication that Bido will have to miss his next start -- tentatively scheduled for Tuesday.

Snell (thigh) will throw a bullpen session Thursday and begin a rehab assignment at Single-A San Jose on Sunday, Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Snell began facing hitters Tuesday, and he has now been given the green light to test his injured thigh in a competitive setting. The left-hander may have his assignment moved to a higher-level affiliate after his rehab outing Sunday, though it is possible the Giants opt to return him to their rotation after just one start.

Astros manager Joe Espada said Wednesday that Urquidy (forearm) is likely to begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Sugar Land this weekend, Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle reports.

The right-hander threw live batting practice Tuesday and has now been cleared to pitch in minor-league games. Urquidy was shut down with a forearm strain in mid-March and will likely require a handful of rehab starts before making his season debut for the Astros.
