Williams went 0-for-3 with three strikeouts after replacing Austin Riley (abdomen) in the fourth inning of Friday's win over the Cardinals.

Williams also committed a throwing error at third base after being pressed into duty when Riley exited the game with what the team labeled as lower-abdominal tightness. Williams has seen little action this season in a utility role, going just 2-for-18 in 25 games for Atlanta. There's no word yet on the severity of Riley's injury, but with the All-Star break coming up, he may be held out the rest of the weekend just as a precaution, leaving Williams as the only viable option currently on the big-league roster to fill in at the hot corner.

Adames went 2-for-4 with a home run, a triple, three RBI and two runs scored in Friday's 8-7 win over the Dodgers.

Adames opened the scoring with a solo shot in the second inning and added a two-run triple in the fifth as part of a five-run rally for the Giants. Over 10 games in July, Adames has gone 13-for-36 (.361) with seven extra-base hits and 12 RBI. He's starting to cash in on the potential that the Giants saw when signing him to a seven-year, $182 million contract in December. Overall, the shortstop is at a .225/.312/.382 slash line with 12 homers, 48 RBI, 53 runs scored, four stolen bases, 14 doubles and two triples through 94 contests.

Bogaerts went 3-for-4 with one run scored in Friday's 4-2 win over the Phillies.

Bogaerts has a trio of three-hit efforts over his last 13 games, batting .383 (18-for-47) in that span. All three hits were singles Friday, and the shortstop has just one extra-base hit, a double, across his last 10 contests. The lack of power remains a concern, but the contact-driven surge has him up to a .264/.338/.368 slash line through 92 games this season.

Witt went 2-for-5 with a double and a two-run home run during Friday's 8-3 loss to the Mets.

Witt is up to 14 straight games with a hit after notching a multi-hit performance Friday, the sixth time he's had multiple hits during his streak. The hot stretch has covered the entirety of July, so it makes sense that this has been Witt's best month from a hitting standpoint. The All-Star shortstop is slashing .400/.436/.629 this month with two doubles, two homers and seven RBI.

Lindor went 2-for-4 with a walk and a three-run home run during Friday's 8-3 win over the Royals.

Over the course of Lindor's six-game hit streak, he is 8-for-23 (.348 batting average) with two doubles, four walks, two homers and eight RBI. The home run was 19th of the season for the All-Star shortstop, who is slashing .263/.335/.465 on the year.

Correa was diagnosed with a mild right ankle sprain after his removal from Friday's game versus Pittsburgh, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports.

Correa wasn't able to walk off the field by himself after getting hit in the leg by a sliding Tommy Pham during the seventh inning, but imaging revealed just a mild ankle sprain. With just two games remaining before the All-Star break, the Twins will likely err on the side of caution and start Brooks Lee or Willi Castro at shortstop for the rest of the series, though the team may get away with keeping Correa off the injured list for now.

Correa was removed from Friday's game against the Pirates due to a right leg injury, Colin Beazley of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

Tommy Pham collided with Correa's leg while sliding into second base in the seventh inning. The latter was hesitant to put weight on his leg after the incident and needed the assistance of a trainer to walk off the field. The star shortstop will almost certainly head in for imaging to determine the severity of his injury, but he can be viewed as day-to-day until then.

Wilson (hand) is out of the lineup for Friday's game against Toronto.

Wilson isn't part of the starting nine for a third consecutive game after being hit by a pitch in the left hand Tuesday. The shortstop should still be considered day-to-day. In his place, Max Muncy will bat seventh and play shortstop.

Pena (ribs) is ramping up work in the weight room and is participating in portions of baseball activities, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

It's unclear what baseball activities Pena has been cleared to partake in, but he's yet to resume full baseball activities. Still, it's an encouraging sign for Pena, as he pushes to make a return shortly after the All-Star break. In the meantime, Mauricio Dubon and Zack Short should handle most of the work at shortstop.

Kim is out of the lineup for Friday's game against the Red Sox, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Kim started the previous three games and will head to the bench Friday after going 4-for-12 with a double, a homer and three RBI. Taylor Walls will step in at shortstop for Tampa Bay.
