Tyler Nevin 3B | ATH
Orioles' Tyler Nevin: Leaves Tuesday's game
Nevin was removed from Tuesday's game against the Twins with right groin soreness, Zachary Silver of MLB.com reports.
The 24-year-old went 0-for-1 with an RBI and was hit by a pitch before being pulling during the sixth inning. He was making his fifth straight start Tuesday since Ryan Mountcastle and Trey Mancini have dealt with some injuries of late but are now healthy, so Nevin's playing time is likely to dip regardless of the severity of the injury.

Eduardo Escobar 3B | TOR
Mets' Eduardo Escobar: Sitting Game 2
Escobar is out of the lineup for Game 2 of Tuesday's doubleheader against Atlanta.
Escobar went 1-for-4 with an RBI during Game 1 and will take a seat for the nightcap, which is only his second time on the bench this season. J.D. Davis will man the hot corner in his place for Game 2.

Evan Longoria 3B | ARI
Giants' Evan Longoria: Begins rehab assignment
Longoria (finger) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Sacramento on Monday, Andrew Baggarly of The Athletic reports.
Longoria has been out all season after undergoing finger surgery in late March. He'll likely need at least a handful of rehab games given the length of his absence, though the Giants have yet to specify exactly when they expect him back.

Jace Peterson SS | ARI
Brewers' Jace Peterson: Time as top 3B likely over
Peterson is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Reds.
Through the first three-plus weeks of the season, Peterson had filled the large side of a platoon at third base with Mike Brosseau, but both players are expected to see their opportunities with the Brewers take a significant hit. Brosseau has already been optioned to Triple-A Nashville, while Peterson is expected to transition into a utility role with Luis Urias (quadriceps) making his return from the injured list. Urias will pick up the start at third base in his season debut Tuesday and should handle an everyday role at the position moving forward.

Edmundo Sosa 2B | PHI
Cardinals' Edmundo Sosa: Placed on COVID-19 list
The Cardinals placed Sosa on the COVID-19-related injury list Tuesday.
St. Louis didn't specify a reason for Sosa's placement on the IL, which follows the pattern teams have frequently used when they send players to the COVID-19 IL. The Cardinals haven't revealed whether Sosa tested positive for the virus, making it unclear when he might be ready to return to the active roster. Juan Yepez was recalled from Triple-A Memphis as a replacement on the roster for Sosa.

DJ LeMahieu 2B | NYY
Yankees' DJ LeMahieu: Gets Tuesday off
LeMahieu is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Blue Jays.
The Yankees will roll out an infield of Anthony Rizzio, Gleyber Torres, Isiah Kiner-Falefa and Josh Donaldson while LeMahieu sits for only the third time this season. While starting in each of the Yankees' last 14 games, LeMahieu slashed .304/.361/.411 over 56 at-bats.

Ramon Urias 3B | STL
Orioles' Ramon Urias: Parked on bench Tuesday
Urias is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Twins.
Urias went 2-for-13 with a double, a walk, two runs and an RBI while starting each of the past four games for Baltimore. He'll get a routine maintenance day Tuesday, allowing Tyler Nevin to stick in the lineup as Baltimore's third baseman.

Austin Riley 3B | ATL
Braves' Austin Riley: Keeps slugging Monday
Riley went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Monday's 5-2 win over the Mets.
He got Atlanta on the board in the fourth inning, taking a Chris Bassitt slider deep to left-center field to begin a comeback from a 2-0 deficit. Riley is in one of his grooves as five of his seven homers on the season have come in the last nine games, a stretch during which he's slashing .297/.350/.784.

Cesar Prieto 3B | STL
Orioles' Cesar Prieto: Lands on injured list
Prieto (hamstring) was placed on the 7-day minor-league injured list Monday, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.
Prieto sustained a Grade 1 right hamstring strain Friday and will miss at least a week due to the injury. However, the Orioles are optimistic that the 22-year-old will be back in action following a short-term stay on the injured list.

J.D. Davis 1B | LAA
Mets' J.D. Davis: Returns to lineup
Davis (foot) will bat sixth and play third base Monday against Atlanta.
Davis starts for the first time since Wednesday's game against the Cardinals after getting hit in the foot by a pitch in that contest. However, there's no guarantee his absence was entirely injury-related, as he hasn't been an everyday player this season. He'll make his eighth start of the season Monday, pushing Eduardo Escobar to the designated hitter spot.
